You mean Crome.. There is no H in crome, the tuning software. I think that is what he is trying to point out.

crome isnt issuing any more licenses for crome pro which includes the datalogging software (the owner abandoned the project, so the program is essentially unfinished junk) you can use it, but its limited at best, and you need to datalog with a program called freelog. Freelog will not work with the moates demon, which is the newest and best way to chip your ecu for using a tuning program. I would recommend you shell out the money for a program called neptune for tuning, which will work with the moates demon.

I would have recommended ectune first, but i still havent received my license yet and now it appears they are out of business as well as their website has suddenly disappeared.

Email Calvin directly at Calvin@Ectune.com with license in the subject and he responds quite quickly. The website works fine today also. I don't think Ectune is going anywhere soon.

Not really true, John still issues licenses, and so can I...I would like to say I am a little more responsive that John at this point:

http://www.xenocron.com/crome-pro-license-p-303.html

Calvin, has def been slacking on being fast as well...but he has personal issues going on.

Neptune is by far the most well supported of all of the "non-commercial" ECU Tuning Software Types and I would recommend it over Crome and eCtune if you are looking to tune your own car or bringing it to someone familiar with Neptune for sure.

lol i was gona say i have seen nothing but threads about not getting licenses on pgmfi regarding crome, and lets face it, without john updating the program its not all that good to use, i know there are still plenty of bugs that poeple are trying to fix on their own but john wont make it open source for them to fix it.

as far as calvin, i got your email about that thanks, im sympathetic to the personal issues, i mean ive had my own share of problems but i think he needs to have a little more concern about the customers. Its not like were paying 30 bucks for the program, it was over 200 dollars for a file with some numbers in it just so I can load the program onto my demon lol and you can understand my frustration as my car is depending on this program run properly, its holding me up to get dyno tuned and all.

I see alot of complaints about that was well on the ectune forums about the long waits for renewals and licenses, part of the reason I went through you guys for the order because I have more faith in your customer service if something did go horribly wrong with getting the license.

Again I dont want to seem unsympathetic to calvin with personal problems but I got one hand with alot of money and the other hand with no license, so its a little bit of a concern.
