how much boost can stock B18B sleeves hold with block guard?
I Cracked a sleeve last night on 20 psi 
. It was my first time to crank it up that high. I run 14-15 psi daily and it loves it. I have JE pistons 9.2:1 comp 20 overbore. Eagle rods w/ arp rod bolts, ARP head studs. all assembled and machined by a excellent machine shop I trust. The block guard was installed by an idiot. so that could be it. Ive been told that stock sleeves can hold 20 psi every now and then. I using the S-afc hack with 450 cc injectors, and I have plenty of fuel, and its tuned fairly well. I guess it's time to go with stronger sleeves and suggetions and any ideas of prices, like darton sleeves with installation? I've heard of some of the sleeves having cylinder cooling problems any suggestions?

All i can say is damn man. 20psi on the afc hack, that's crazy! I guess that now and then theory is true, but apparently it wasn't that time. Crappy!

We ran 20psi on my GFs stock block for over a year, its still running even after a few trips to teh track ona 50 shot... we cracked a sleeve on cheezefrogs car at 28psi and a 75 shot of nitrous.

20psi with the hack? 20psi with only enough fuel for 10... yeah, that would crack a sleeve i'm sure.

Well I'm running 12-16 deg. timing retard, and 91 oct, with water methanol injection. I never heard any detonation or saw any signs of it on my plugs, but after looking at my piston, thats what did it, as well as my cracked sleeve.

20psi is pushing at stock honda block, but its possible with very good tuning with a standalone... Don't you think you max out your 450cc injectors at 20psi??? cuz I run 13-14psi and I max out my 440cc injectors on a b16!

SFP.net has one that has run 28psi and 75 shot on stock sleeves with BG. it has crower rods and je pistons. I drove it myself on 23psi w/o spray myself. thats with an sc61 turbo and hondata. Tuning is the key i guess. and a little luck i think.
