What is max psi for non-sleeved built LS motor w/ 550's, block guard, & stand alone??
What is the maximum amount of boost I can run safely on my block?
-hondata 4b
-Nu Formz Block Guard
-JE Pistons
-Eagle Rods
-550's
-no head work
I was thinking 15psi on pump gas and 18psi at the track on high octane? How do those numbers sound?

stock sleeves will withstand up to ~21-22 psi
search for topics on block guards, some people (me included) don't trust them

yeah and no, stock sleeves will handle any boost basically even something like 40PSI, but no stock sleeve will hold up if you detonate!

NO FLAMES PLEASE FOR THIS STATEMENT - run a warmer plug not a colder plug, why I would rather melt a plug than a piston!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

I love that statement... Pistons melting is a BAD thing... I'd rather feel a stutter from no spark/combustion than a dead cylinder without compression.
Hmmm What range plugs you run? Stock? 1 colder? I'm running 2 colder and my car like to stutter an load up at idle... yuck.

I run two colder, but I dont care if my crap blows up, it means I get to wrench and tell the GF Im busy.
I run BERU modified 3 colder for racing (solid electrode) they foul easy, and denso iridium doesnt really matter what heat range becuse these suckers dont melt.
use normal plugs for your car for safety and play with the heat ranges, dont go more than one colder though.
