Should we hook it up to a vac source?

If your running just the spring u can leave the top port alone....

just dropped in turbo yesterday, have not been running car.... When you say leave top one alone if using spring, then you mean just leave it open, without the tee or tubE?
yes leave it open without anything blocking it. it is there if you are using an electronic boost controller. it would, in the case of an ebc allow you to route boost pressure to the top of the wastegate to hold it shut until the moment you reach your set psi on the boost controller.

Stock FPR, but prefereably to the brake booster.

damn, if i hooked it up to fps, I would be running two plastic t's. One for boost gauge and one for this. Where is the break booster?
If I get a boost controller, do i need to take out spring?

If you get a MANUAL boost controller or even an ELECTRIC, you do not need to take out the spring. Also the lowest boost setting would be what the spring is.

yeah, I have an excellent vac source perfectly suited for a wastegate that's all Honda, factory. I just don't have any Idea what is actually supposed to be going there.

Hook that sucker up to your TURBO bro
If u have the Outlet on yout Turbo to do so. If not, hook the side port up to a good vaccum source. U can tap inot your Cruise Control is Neccessary. On my turbo i have a Port on it so i had no worries

Do u have a Boost Controller. If not, then dont worry bout the Top part of the Wastegate. IF u had a Boost controller. Does your hood even close with the top part on. Mine sure didnt when i checked for my own knowlege. U might need an Elbow for the WG.
