Default wastegate problem

I just completed my b16 turbo system on my civic. The whole thing works great except that the car hits like 12- 15 psi boost on the stock motor. I ordered a 6psi wastegate, but it is a knock off tial. I have a single line running into it. Why does it boost so high. I also do not have the boost controller hooked up.

i would say there is either something wrong with the vacuum lines or the wastegate itself. go over all the line and make sure they are good. you def dont wanna be overboosting that much, unless you are tuned for it.

also you might want to take the wastegate apart and make sure it really has a 6psi spring installed.........it could have the wrong spring installed by mistake.
