Default help with BOV and boost gauge..

well to start off, im new to fi. basically i have my greddy kit with greddy fmic hooked up. im installing a blow off valve and was wondering if it mattered where exactly you mount it? and where do you hook the hose coming from the top of the bov to? im also hooking up a mechanical boost gauge and also was wondering where you hook the pressure line to? thanks for any help, its either this or i would have to start experimenting with it and i really dont want to do that...

edit: oh yea the bov came with 4 washers what do i do with those? and do i screw the top of it all the way down tight?

after searching i found out where to mount the bov, but what exact vacuum hose do you connect it to?

i have a turboxs bov and realized those washers were shims. where do i put those and how many do i need on a sohc d?

run a vacuum manifold between the brake booster line and IM, you will have additional ports for boost gauge, wastegate, etc etc.

it wil also look alot cleaner too

which one is the brake boost hose? and isnt a vacuum manifold just a box with holes for fittings? isnt it the same thing as T'ing off a couple times from the same vacuum hose?

anyone know the answers to my other questions?

I think they are so simple that people don't really feel like answering.

You can tap them anywhere. You need a vacuum source. Use anything you want, anything with vacuum.

wow ... just wow.

I agree w/ Dustin... this has been addressed a million times already.

But here:
Tap any vaccum. Tap a tub that somehow connects to the manifold. Follow your heart.

okay like i said three times already, i got that part. i ordered a golden eagle vacuum mani. from a sponser on here. what about my other question?

the shims that came with my bov (6 of them) where do these go and how many should i need with 5-7psi on a d15?

well im nearing completion of my turbo install. all i have left to do is weld the oil return on and weld the bov flange on, hook up the vacuum mani and boost gauge, wire the e-manage (im going to post a thread about that), weld my downpipe on, and hook my turbosmart mbc up. so basically im half way done.

and i know the question has been asked a million times already, i found them out by searching for hours. but i thought i would throw it in here since i needed other questions answered. sorry for being such a turbo noob. thanks.
