post pictures of the block when you pull everything apart. should be an interesting sight but not an uncommon one when **** like this happens.

sounds like what happened.

you had a tune to 11psi {maybe} beyond that your motor is getting 20+psi on a tune designed for 11.

tear it apart and see what you melted. would be kind of surprising if you didn't melt a piston, fracture a sleeve, or frag rings

Yea i learned my lesson.. I must of installed the MBC wrong. Anyone know how the forge unos mbc goes? My motor blew after i installed this cuz on the way to pick up te forge i was on it a lot and nothing happened. The first pull i did with the mbc n kaboom.. I have the wastegate going to the sideport on the mbc n the bottom going to the turbo. Thats how it was on their website, and the mbc was only turned about 5 clicks.

From the turbo into port number 2, then port number 1 to side port on the wastegate.

Feed line ALWAYS go to the long side port on an MBC, you are pushing a spring and springs need a place to expand/contract (IE, a long tube).

I had it installed right. Maybe 6 clicks was too much for the car... Hopefully i can get the head off tonight after work n inspect everything. If i drain the oil and it has coolant in it that means i cracked the sleeve right?

If youre not tuned for it, any click can be too much for the car.

do you have any higher boost settings other than what your car is tuned for?

I've experienced "head lift". the increased cylinder pressures can work against the cylinder head causing it to literally "rise" enough for it to slip out. That typically happens with an incorrect headstud install or a situation in which the headstud "stretched"..

Its indeed possible, even though highly improbable.

Took off the head tonight and found i cracked the sleeve in cylinder 2. Big crack going all the way down. I still dont understand how i got 0 compression in the other cylinders with no cracks.

Either way, its a wrap. From now on.. NO CLICKs when your rebuild it. I've seen car blow up from 1psi of positive pressure regardless of turbo size. Increased cylinder pressure is increased cylinder pressure

Ok so someone is selling a completely stock b16 block that is coming out of the machine shop soon from a fresh oem rebuild. To pistons, rings, hone, bearing, mirco crank, etc. Should i get another block like this or just go ahead n build one for my turboed car. Im still going to be boosted so im going to boost again on this b16 block if it get it. Was just wondering if its dumb to get a stock b16 block with 0 miles n turbo it right away.
