GTX4272R NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN?
This past weekend we were able to get 169MPH @ 38 psi (car weighed in @ 2545lbs w/driver).... this unit is amazing!
Having the same extended compressor exducer as the GTX4202R it carries the powerband over 9800 rpm....

We took pics prior to install... i will post those when i upload them!
Cesar from Stage 6 Motorsports is letting me borrow his PTE4272 to do some back-to-back testing...
testing will probably be done @ around 30 psi to be able to keep the car from spinning on the dyno!
UPDATES SOON COME!

Re: GTX4272R NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN?
Nice work guys. What was the final ET?
I was just asking Jake@Tial about doing this about 2-3 weeks ago and he said the software wasnt ready for another month. The price for the modification is a bit high though!
Edit: The turbo designation would still be a GTX4202R though.

Re: GTX4272R NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN?
and that was with a 1.44 a/r Turbine housing.....
we trapped higher with the GTX4272 than we had before with the GTX4202R Dunno why....
smaller motor/smaller turbo than before and less boost!
Powerband carried higher and the motor responded very well to boost...
Marc P can vouch (even though he will never get on the FI forum) how well the car behaved at a low(32PSI) boost

The Garrett GTX-R stuff is all using that new full length 11 blade compressor wheel design I believe.
Link with the general info on the new design when Garrett released it.
