GT28R vs T3 .60/.48
How do these two turbos compare? I am looking for something that spools up slightly quicker than my T3 .60/.48, but still pulls all the way through my 7200rpm redline and makes the same power if not more at the same psi. Would it be worth the hassle to buy a new manifold, downpipe, oil/water lines etc. for the GT28R? Is it even an upgrade at all? I'm not looking to push more than 250whp on this setup and plan on keeping the stock map sensor.
Here's my setup:
Stock y7 block, y8 head
T3 .60/.48
Spoolin log mani, 2.5" dp, closed-loop dump
2.5" high flow cat, 2.5" mandrel piping, 22" 2.5" resonator, 2.5" straight thropugh muffler
dsm 450's w/ crome

go with the GT28RS, spools just as fast and is capable of more power. You can even keep the same mani/dp/dumptube. Just match the exhaust housing.

Sorry I am not trying to spend $1000+ on a new turbo. I am just wondering how it compares to my current turbo.
