My friend has a FP red with low miles that he'll sell me for cheap.

A lot of guys with dsms are running these turbos with as much as 30 psi; would it make sense to use this turbo on my d16 to run something like 10-15 psi and not have an obnoxious amount of turbo lag?

 

umm no. you don't have the cylinder head efficiency nor the displacement to run that. But if you're trying to go over 500whp later, take it.

 

speaking of FP red.... we just had a dyno day at map and this kid hit exactly 500whp stock block, ported oe mani, meth kit & e85 30psi i recall...
