paint???? you can use the vht paint, but if you dont prep it properly it will flake off.... just get it ceramic coated, looks better and serves more of a purpose/// i hope you werent talking about using automotive paint

ehehe not automotive paint but some high temperature stuff. A friend did it on his car, look really clean but its not a turbo car so i was wondering if the heat of a turbo would be worst.

Use the good 2000° stuff, and PROPERLY prep the manifold. Ie, sandblast it.

I bought some 2000 degree black paint made for exhaust manifolds, its working great, no flaking or anything. It was like $15 for 4oz., but that is plenty. Heres a pic---

I used the VHT 1200 degree silver on my manifold, just wiped the manifold with soap and water and painted it, worked fine

order some VHT flameproof spray paint...theres a lot of prep work and stuff you have to do to make sure it sticks and lasts, but its worth it.

this is the only spray hi-temp paint ive ever seen that works good.

make sure you read and follow the directions.

When you think about it, the paint only has to be good for ~1300F. Anything higher isn't good for the motor, so burnt paint will be an indicator of a problem.
