Default EGT readings lower at higher boost?

I have a Computech EGT gauge. It has a record feature that allows you record egt and rpms. At around 7psi my egt temps are around 1350 F at WOT. I switch the boost to 11psi and I notice that at higher boost the egt temps are lower, say around 1255 F. What would be the reason for that?
Also, the Computech gauge has an additional plug for a secondary probe. Would it be a good idead to tap it into my charge pipe (after the intercooler)to monitor the ambient temps going into the motor? Just to have a general idea of things.

How's the air/fuel ratio?

You are probably running lean at low boost and richer at higher boost

yea what he said...

by running richer the unburnt fuel absorbs heat and you will have a cooler exhaust temp

what are you running for fuel management?

Different EGTs can mean a lot of different things. Vapor Trail made a good post on what to look for and what different temps can mean...

Well from experiance,
Bump up(advance) the timing see if egt drops. Go to the point it doesn't drop anymore. From that point retard 1-1.5 degrees. If your egt drops way to much you are knocking. Also check your AF with 94 octance you want something like 12:1 or 11.7:1
I hope this helps. What are you cursing egt's?
