Default egt readings in boost

What does everybodies EGT read in boost at WOT? I just wondering if my fuel (to rich to lean) is correct.

I read around 690-710c at WOT. Under 1/2 throttle and boost i run around 710-720c. When under vacuum (cruising on the highway no boost) i also run around 710c.

Does this sound about right? My EGT probe is on the 3rd runner about 1" back from the exhaust port. I have a Greddy EGT gauge if it matters.

thanks,
liam

That is the is the range of acceptable egt readings. Your air/fuel is optimal according to those readings.

Woooo I must be MAJOR rich when cruising and MAJOR lean when on it

Mine spikes to almost 775-800C when I'm revving high...

Cruising never goes above 400C.

You shoot for 600-700 when under full throttle. But when just cruising around you should be alot lower. SiRkid you are in the optimal egt readings for off/on boost.

hey guys, i am running at about 600-650 while im am cruising, and about 650-675 while boosting... so i take these readings as being lean on the bottom end and rich on the top end., i guess rich because of having a 12:1 fmu and lean because of low fuel pressure.??? some help here would be much appreciated.

I was watching my EGT today..and cruising around town its a little lower...like 650c. Its on the freeway where its around 700c at 80mph cruising.

Its good to know that those readings are normal.

Thanks for the posts everybody...
