Do I need Boost Retard w/ only 8 to 10 psi boost??? w/ SAFC, 450cc injectors..??
I was just wondering where people usually set their distributor timing when running boost... I have a B18a motor, OBD-1, and am about to boost it 8 to 10psi, running the SAFC w/ 450cc injectors... Do I need a BOOST RETARD MODULE??
Thanks!
Mark

Re: (94dxt)
i would say more like 4 to 6 degrees total retarded, suppose to leave dist at stock timing and just subtract from ems, whichever one you using

Re: (civickiller)
on 93 octane, you can run 6psi w/o retarding timing (with at least 12.5:1 a/f across), so... if you feel like King Longdick, go for it...
