To late, its already on there. I orderd this set for all my other gasket and was planning on using a cometic gasket. Engine was at the machine shop and cometic need 3 weeks to get me a gasket so told them to install that one. My wastegate is set at 15psi so I guess I will find out quickly if its going to suck.

If this thing survives the tuning session I will be fine, I can change a headgasket in a couple of hours

I do have arp studs though, hopefully they hold it together, but to be honest with you I am a bit more worried about my turbo at this point. I am hell bent on using a OEM turbo but I should have used MHI or something. I know CX makes good stuff but if their turbos aren’t rebuilt in house and are indeed chinachargers (at least what I am told) that alone makes me really worried. I don’t know but I am thinking on picking up a Big 16g upgrade for a WRX from Japan instead. I hope my scavenge pump create enough vacuum inside the turbo to keep it together.

hey how far is the tuning shop? i can probably have my girl tow the car if she is willing too, im sure she would too cause shes not far from her moms house, also the T61 turbo from cxracing for my car has no problem, a guy managed to get 411WHP i believe at 12-15psi and has done about 4-6k miles on it and he said theres no problem and that he loves it. also, he talks to the guy from cxracing alot about the turbo and the owner i guess that is, always response and is loyal i guess. i would try that turbo you got first and see what happens, also you free tomorrow right? im thinking of going to check it out, but not sure if i have enough gas, my car over heated with the a/c on and the anti-freeze reseviour had a over fill and spilled out, and had to let the motor cool down, and my alt is acting up too. i keep getting 11V and then after 10min of driving it goes to 14V.

It depends where I go, I wanted to go to dents sport garage but they never responded my email about neptune RTP, that's about 40 miles away. My only other option is in New Hampshire which is about 30miles. There is one nearby but everybody cringes when I say the name so I guess thats not an option. I plan on renting a hertz truck and renting a trailer from uhaul for a couple of days, that way I can tune it and bring it somewhere where I can drive it around without being bothered. Its not insured, registered or anything for that matter.

About the turbo, iono I took it apart and it looked fine and it is balanced. I plan on ordering more stuff from them like there water to air and their BOV which I know is generic but better than the **** I have now.

Also you had your cylinder head resurfaced right?? Take it easy on your motor you don't want to blow the gasket again. Check the radiator because it isn't in good shape right??? worse case scenario is a bad gasket again and you pressurizing your cooling passages

the head doesnt have to be re torqued, they discussed about it, mostly for new hardware, since mine is already used im good, i have water, and antifreeze mixed and doing 110mph and a/c is not fun and i have my timing on advance so the motor is going to run super hot then what is suppose to be.

also me and my buddy next door is trying to find a junk civic or honda to make it for a track car, if you know any one selling one for dirt cheap

Nah i don't know anybody personally getting rid of a shell, but I do know a few people getting rid of motors, a semi built d16z6 and I think a 60k mile y7. Also why are advanced in timing? It should run fine at 0 degrees you only running 4 psi over stock right.

not sure i think im running 10 psi, also when you advance your timing you get higher end power, but more lag, when you retard the timing, you get less lag faster spool, with low rpm power but less rpm power, i retarded my car one day, and didnt pass 5k rpm, so i just put it at advance, but im going to make a exhaust cut off using a ex throttle body that my friend has for me, and my other buddy is going to weld it on, i just gotta get the pipes and delete the cats. and i need to finish the body work

I can probably find a good price around here to paint your car, as far as your heating issues try and replace that radiator asap, any chance you can take the one from the sc in the junkyard?

Tomorrow I am going to attempt to turn on my car, going to plug everything and give it a go. I have to see what going to happen with the timing belt, I think its way to tight I cant really tell. If I move it with my hands it feels lose but when I crank it I can hear something grinding. I will try to record it

Alright So I am going to definitely drop the FMIC and exclusively use the Water to air . I don't have the space or the power to add another 6amp pump to run the water to air. So I will drop the water cooler for the turbo and use that setup for the water to air. I can install it where the AC was and I no longer have to deal with those pain in the *** FMIC.

Also its definitely a plus that the car didn't explode when we tested the Xenocron pump, but the thing worked perfectly, it is indeed loud but thats OK

I am about 7 miles north of boston so Rhode Island is quite a drive but if it comes to that, that is what I will have to do.

Hey I been meaning to ask you, I want to order the neptune rtp package from your site on saturday but I am not sure of myself with the installation. Any chance I can ship out a p28 to you and have it socketed and installed? I have 3 p28's and dont want to have yet another one.

Hey heavy, didn't order the ECU its going to have to wait till next pay period this is bill week again. I am still missing stuff to get the thing started so ordered that instead. Ordered a BOV from CX and a silicon coupler to fix that 3 to 2 inch mess I have on my turbo. Also ordered a regulator, radiator hoses and other fuel stuff.

That will be it for engine parts, I will get the map sensor, ecu, wideband and a fuel pressure gauge on the next check.
Mating the AEM rail with a Blox FPR, The AEM is definitely nice but I don't need that much pressure.

Been busy lately and haven't had to much time to work on it (hence why its at night) Just installing the rail and blox FPR,. I know that the blox ones have mixed reviews but it should work fine for what I need it to do.

The new BOV and radiator hoses will be here soon, will install the throttle body when that comes in as well.

Also been looking for a manifold with a TD05H flange to get rid of the HF but I am having a hard time finding it.

Alright I found a Td05h to T3 adapter for $60, so now all I need to do is make up my mind on the manifold. I haven't had any problems with CX stuff so looking at the manifolds they have and really like this one

These projects are always a pain, the same brake problem happend to my brother IS and I had to switch out the caliper a few days after he got it.

Havent decided which of the two to order, might have to go with the cheaper one so I can get a wideband. If you look at the photo it is braced already

If its free is must have some serious issues?

Just got back from working on it, only have free time at nights but I was trying to take all of my hoses off and replace them. Was able to do most of them but the heater hoses are definitely stuck on there. Going to cut them tomorrow, also have to find a way to block off the water cooling to my throttle body. That thing is pissing me off, I have a b18 TB that I am going to use instead

either you can buy small hose caps that fits the metal tip from where ever its coming or put a long bolt in the line, i have blocked both of my water lines for the throttle using a bolt and them factory spring loaded clamps and no leaks.

The b18 tb didn't work, it bolted on fine and the is a lot bigger than the stock z6 one but the blox manifold, doesn't allow the throttle plate to open. The tb hits the side on the manifold, but w/e it needed a firewall mounted map sensor anyway. Put the z6 on back on and used a 2.5 to 3 inch adapter on it to get rid of the slant on the tube.

Installed the new bov as well, no complaints on quality it looks good and no more 3-2.5 nonsense either. Also the HF manifold with adapters is for sale if anybody cares
I will continue tomorrow and will post it

My obd1 plugs don't fit. my obd2 plugs don't fit and I don't have any obd0 to try. Probably need some custom clip but I have no time for that. I tried to cut the stock clips to make them fit but they are too fragile and where falling apart. Ended up just cutting off the notch on the injectors to make them the same as OBD1.

(Crappy photos, funny how cellphones have 8mg pixels camera with some bullshit lense and all people think about its "it better than my digital camera its bigger" yea scroll above and those are with a digital camera with the same mega pixels)

Been dealing with some unexpected bullshit today on top of the truck breaking down so I haven't got much done. Here is the new bov with a 3 inch tube
