I can't get the car over 5K. When I get close to 5K the engine just seems to flutter. I'll have the gas pedal down to the floor but it won't go any higher. When I let up it just goes back to normal but still doesn't get above 5K rpm.

I bought this car 7 years ago and I'm jjust getting back into the drag racing again. Its an LS/vtec turbo with a F.A.S.T. engine managment system. I don't know too much about the EMS but there is a MSD RPM activated switch with a 4700 rpm pill which from what i remember is for the vtec switch over.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Could I pull the 4700 pill and see if it happens or would that cause major problems?
