can somebody help me identify this turbo?
this is for a friend of mine.
So the turbo showed up... it looks HUGE compared to the old one. I asked for a T04E 60 trim, and had a few questions.
The T04E 60 trim supposedly has a 3" inlet. My inlet is 4", well sorta... there's like 2 inlets, one for the wheel, and one for my piping, which is 4". So is that 3" or 4"? I've never seen anything like it (not that I've seen a whole lot of turbos). A quick search on turbo sites got me nowhere, can't find anyone with the same compressor housing. In fact, the 60 trims that others are selling has the M24 marking with .60 A/R, same as the 57 trim. So confusing!
Also, I thought all T04's had the M24 marking? This one has a M12 marking, not sure what that means. Anyways, here are the pics. If anyone can positively ID it, that'd be great. I'm just curious if I got something that's too big, cuz I didn't plan on getting more lag.
Anyways, here are the pics.
Any help is appreciated. TIA.

There seems to be two common T-04 compressor housings, and this is one.
Is this what it looks like from different angles?:
I looked at a few of these on Ebay, and it seems that the small inner wall is to reduce lag time, though for the life of me I can't think why that would be true.
