Default Bulkhead fitting

Is anyone using a bulkhead style fitting on their oil pan? One where the you torque it down with a nut from the inside and it seals with a teflon(?) washer on each side of the pan wall? Will this stand the test of time and not come off in the next 50k miles, let's say, if properly torqued? Is it safe to use threadlocker in the oil pan?

well, I'm using AN-8 lines...yeah, I know...it should be fine, though. How does everyone attach the AN lines to the oil outlet on the turbo? I think I'm going to have a fitting welded to a little plate I'm cutting (found a steel square witha hole in the middle for 16 cents! at homedepot) and I'll attach it to the oil outlet with the two bolt holes.

Do you think the bulkhead fitting will come loose over time?

I used a -10 bulkhead. I used 7/8th (steel) washers from a local hardware store in between the nuts. I used liquid gasket on the two washers to keep it from leaking (which it hasnt yet). I did cut the inside portion of the bulkhead to make sure it didnt hit anything inside the pan.

I like it better than trying to tap the pan like the FMAX kit insisted.

I used a bulkhead nut too for now at least. I didnt have any washers though. I JB welded the hell out of the thing. It looks pretty sloppy and I will clean it up and get it welded when I do a rebuild, but for now who cares it doesnt leak, and noone looks under the car.

The fitting in the pic is the exact one that I am going to use, except it's AN-8 ...I kinda flaked out when I was buying it, hehe. Anyway, mine came with two teflon-looking washers in the middle. I think I'll just use that. I was thinking about putting a dab of thread locker on the very inner threads, so it wouldn't be exposed in the oil pan AT ALL, just as a little insurance, think it's a good idea?

All I used was a -10 union, bulkhead nut, o-ring, and some silicon sealant.
Doesnt leak a bit.
I also have a -10 weld on nut. When I was installing the turbo I couldnt find anyone who had a welder at 11PM, so I came up with this.

Not much room between downpipe and AC compressor so I routed it around the back to keep from frying the hose on the dowpipe.

Height doesnt matter. Its ~12" below the turbo drain so the entire hose would have to fill with oil before it would ever be a problem.
