Finished the twin pump set up today. Just need to wire it up and weld another bung in the sump:

what size you runing to the rail art a -12?

 

-10 off the sump to the pump, and -8 to the rails.

I love that new nylon wrapped line... I think the weight of that line is under half of the SS line i put on my car.

So are you making both lines meet one in the back of the car? Im curious to know is not running 2 pumps 2 one line doing the same thing as only one pump would do? I mean the 8an line can only hold so much gas pushing more in there isnt doing anything is it?
I guess it would make it flow faster

 

-8 is 1/2in line, i doubt if that's being held back as it the limiting factor for this fuel problem, its probably the pump not being able to keep up with the pressure or volume needed so you end up just opening up the injectors and having an artifically high duty cycle when its due to the volume from the pump running out.

I'd almost wonder if you couldnt' just run one line from the pumps to the rail, rather than running two lines and joining them at the rail.

I know the nylon line is alot more expensive, but how much lighter it is, is just amazing. The first line i touched i thought summitt forgot to put it in the box, then i opened it up and saw 10ft of line.

 

I have it going to a "Y" right after the filters. I have one -8 line going to the front of the car.

I dont think -8 is the problem. If you've ever seen an IRL car on Methonal, they run very small fuel lines. Now they are NA but still make a lot of power.

I am using Kinsler fuel filters from http://www.kinsler.com The one before the pump is the Monster Mesh and the one after is the Injector protector.

how is the pump gettting fuel out of the tank with those setups with the pump mounted next to the tank with the line running to the factory pump mount on top??

 

i believe its a puller so it sucks it...and inside the tank you would run a line in place of where the fuel pump was....

Correct, thats why many people are going with these pumps because you dont have to sump your tank.

 

I don't know I think for the money I would just do a twin walbro setup, the supra guys have had great luck with this for a long time now so it can't be that bad of a setup.. I think it will be more work installing the two pumps inside of the honda gastank but it surely wouldn't be impossible...

 

theres no reason you couldnt run a 255 intank and another inline.....or a 255 feeding the bosch pump.....unless it cavitates

This is exactly what I was thinking... wouldn't it be easier to run a walbro intank and use the bosch as an inline? Would the walbro be restricting the flow of the bosch?

 

2 walboros will support 700 hp all day....the setup art did is nice but 2 220$ pumps 4 filters lines and fittings is around 1000$

That's running two walbros in parallel which makes the install a little harder but I the biggest down side to this is, if one pump goes out, the engine would still run normal at idle and part throttle but when in boost - extreme lean.

Anyone tried to running two pumps in series yet?
