Default boost and NO2

do any of you have this setup and if so do you have any pics. thinking about getting it for my set up but i was wondering about the pros and cons. fully built motor, going to run 25lbs at the track and 10 on the street.

yes lots of people have nitrous and turbo.
pros: go faster
cons: more money, get good tuning or boom, know what youre doing.

you wont have a problem if you A dont use it in excess, and B dont run too big of a shot, and C get it tuned for n2o

i already have a good tuner who can do it. im running the AEM EMS with AEM wideband and i know the EMS has the capability of having NO2 hooked up, just curious if it was a good idea. i was thinking of a 50 shot direct port, wet lsystem, which from what i understand would be doubled cause of the turbo. so 100 shot in the end.

What exactly are you getting? Nitrous oxide injection and a turbo, or are you just adding the squeeze to an already turboed motor?

In either case I don't think you need pics, you need to rethink your engine setup. You are going to be burning a large amount of fuel per burn, in a thick (initially very, very rich) mixture at high pressure. Luckily nitrous is an effective intercooler, so as long as your pistons can take that sort of a hit (hypereutectic alloys will shatter, cast alloys will melt), it should work.

Just a few considerations:

1) You will need a POWERFUL ignition system. I mean, you should have a spark so strong that you could run diesel if you wanted to. I'm talking capacitive discharge ignition, massive coils, etc.

2) This sort of system will create as much exhaust as intake gasses coming in. (The nitrous by virtue of it's chemical makeup doubles in volume when it decomposes) So you will need a lot more duration on the exhaust cam. I would recommmend running your setup by Crane specialists and see what they can set you up with.

no the same amount of N2O (not NO2) is coming out. so its only a 50 shot. get a direct port 100 shot and only use it at the track. itll be a good idea.

I run nitrous on big turbo cars sometimes to get spooltime shortened up.... you'd be suprised what you can get a T66 to spool 14psi at on a B18!

haha, N02 would be crazy at ~0.66% oxygen by volume ... Peresonally I feel that it's just not needed, yes it will will help you spool faster but on high boost big turbo cars it already hits hard enough... If you're going for it for power I personally would reconsider your options since there are other ways to do so... With the proper setup you should be able to make 550-600whp easy on 25lbs. and that's with a turbo that doesn't need nitrous to spool... Just my $0.02
