Default Best Header for a GSR w/ JRSC??? I've done my research!!

I know this topic has already been done-- but I've done the research, and it doesn't seem as though anybody has given any decisive answers. The DC Sport Exhaust is one possibility and I was told to go with the 4-1 because the 4-1 is good with topend-- and the JRSC will give me all the midrange power I need. It was also suggested by somone to get a powercore header... but they don't make those for the B18C... which leaves me contemplating the Kamikaze and DC Sport headers...

I've heard that the DC Sport header will turn purple... which aesthetically is bad... but that overall, it's a reliable product. I've heard that the Kamikaze produces the best gains for the JRSC application-- but that it has fitting problems, and cracks easily and a lot of people have been disappointed with the quality of the piece.

I want to build the most reliable engine setup I can. I don't want to have to worry about the Kamikaze header cracking-- or eating up head gaskets-- which I was told it also does. Is the DC Sport Header my safest bet??? and if so-- should I go with the ceramic DC Sport 4-1, the Stainless Steel DC Sport 4-1, or the JDM ceramic DC Sport 4-1 (which also has a fitting problem).

So I guess my question is-- WHICH ONE???? RELIABILITY FIRST... what should I do???? Thanks a lot guys.

I was running a DC 4-1 with my jrsc... but I was told that the kamikaze header is best for JRSC although it has some fitment problems

I have tested almost header , I have found the kamakazi to make the most power, See my post about fixing the problem with the Kamakazi.
I will be testing a new header we have designed for the blower application , which I believe will make more power than the kamakazi, I do have alot of money in the header so far.
But for the money, The Kamakazi is the way to go.

anyone else know any details about this Kamikaze--- performance good-- I know this for certain-- but reliability??? I need reliability first... on a different post, someone wrote about it eating head gaskets quickly-- some guy said 5 headgaskets in 3 months?! I CAN'T HAVE THAT... Is this accurate??? this much trouble with that header??? Daily driver setup... thanks for the reply metal-x. Anyone else have anything to add on this topic?

Well since you didn't mention $$$

I would definatly say Hytech SC Header is the best http://www.hytechexhaust.com

Check here for pic (scroll down)

For supercharged applications, does not utilize OEM collector location, 2 7/8" collector for the "low boost" applications (10lb or less) and 3" for high boost applications, stepped design

i blew my header gasket on the stock kamizaze paper thin POS gasket they give you with it. then i jsut upgraded to a race gasket and i had no problems after that. but if your going FI, the kami is the best way to go for the money. if your NA, its a bad idea cuz it will cause you to lose power. You will need a 2.5 in cat, as your stock one wont fit. id suggest a carsound hi flow cat. it worked great for me

I had the Kamikaze and really liked it. We just hacked it off befor the taper and welded a flex pipe in. It worked very well. Good for 249.7whp and 179 tq. @ 11psi.

Good luck

I have the JDM DC 4-1 ceramic header. I never had any fitment problems. The only think I don't like about this header is that it hangs quite low. It didn't take me long to put my first dent into it.

I have also heard that the Kamakazi gives the best gains but I decided to go with the DC because I didn't want to deal with any fitment problems.

92TEGGsrSC.....check this out http://www.hostboard.com/cgi-b...11121
I have had the Kami on for several months now with absolutely no problems. Just needed a little bit of prep before fitting. If you're going to get one, get only the ceramic coated one. Good value for money overall.

Not all of the kami headers have a 2.5" collector. In fact I believe most are 2.25"

I have had mine on for the last 6 months with no problems at all I used better bolts to connect the 4 to 1 the ones that came with it were fairly cheap... I have had very good luck with mine and thought the quality was really good for the price paid..

I definately would not change my decision after driving with it for six months...
