That sounds like the Ed I know, that's why I was so surprised he put out that much whp on 550cc injectors. He is a very conservative tuner and tunes for daily driveability, which is good but his partial throttle tuning could use a bit of help. I've been to him 2x sofar and both times he predicted my peak HP as well as all of my friends. Once he hits that range he stops trying and says the motor can't take anymore. He is a great tuner, don't get me wrong... but I get the impression he is a bit on the lazy side and does not go the extra mile like some tuners I have seen recently do. I have a fully built motor which could have EASILY broke the 500 barrier, but he told me 423whp was all I was going to get.... this is with running a t4 sc61 by the way on a 2.4L motor.

Again, I am not talking **** about Ed, he is a GREAT guy and knows how to tune. He just doesn't push the motors to their limits.

Sounds like a personal liability issue he has. he just doesnt want a customers car to blow up on the dyno. Happens once, and his reputation goes down the toliet.

Very true, and I do not hold that against him. This one guy in a neon had his motor turbocharged and tuned by ed. This was the non turbo motor though... the kid told Ed to keep going on the boost... 3 days later the kid put a hole in the block.

Yep... but my motor on the other hand is fully built and I know it could easily hit 500whp. He wanted to quit at 380whp but I told him I needed race gas due to MSBC and a smaller plug gap. He was a bit hesitant, but I was right in the end. Anyways, thats just my personal rant.
