Default b16 tb intercooler coupler

So I am trying to find a coupler to mate up the 2.5 intercooler piping to the tb and nothing seems to fit. I tried a 2.5 coupler on the tb and it wouldn't fit and a 2.75 seems too loose. What size are you guys using? The od on the tb measures 2.6ish.

On stock B series throttle use 2.5" coupler.

This is 2.5"

The coupler on the TB is always a bitch...put a little windex on the inside of the coupler and it will slide over the TB a bit easier.

you have to stretch the 2.5 to fit. in this cold weather you'll have to *gently* heat the coupler or use some lube on the tb.

Use Lube. I like WD40 because it dries kinda Sticky.

Also, you can use a screwdriver to pry over.

Thats the same reason I always used windex...its slippery at first, but gets tacky/sticky when it dries.

I would be careful if you decide to use a screwdriver...its pretty easy, especially with a flathead screwdriver, to poke a hole in the coupler or tear it along the edge.
