b16 internals/btm end boost ?s
i have a 99 si wiith a pretty much stock b16 in it, i want to slap a turbo on it like a gt28 or something similar, its my DD so i want it to be as reliable as possible. do i need to get main bearings and rod bearings before i do this? what are some pretty standard things i need to do internally before boosting, i only want like 8-10 psi and only wanna make like 200-250 wheel ... should i keep stock CR or go lower, i have access to a good tuner i just want it to be reliable as a DD (btw im not a rat that will be redlining it everywhere i go) ive had fast cars before i just wanna make this thing fun/quick.. o yea and btw im poor so im trying to do this as smart/cheap as possible ive herd gsr pistons are an option? yay or nay? hit me back with what u guys think
(i understand what i need as far as supporting mods like fuel, inj, etc i just dont know much about the inside of these motors and whats best for turbo app on b16)

Re: b16 internals/btm end boost ?s
how about using the gsr pistons does that lower the CR at all? i dont see how if theyre both high comp engines but ive seen very vauge statements of ppl saying theyre better for boost.. any input on that? obv i know ill run a thicker headgasket which will help but is it worth tracking down the gsr pistons?
