B16 or B20VTEC for built turbo car?
I need some opinions on the motor I'm going to build next. Either will get GSR head. Will not be resleeved, boost will be kept under 20 psi, engine management used, will use stock cranks as well. What will work best for daily driven reliability as well as power? Will the high RPM power of the B16 be worth more than the displacement of the B20? Anyone done either before?

I did a lot of research, and for me, I opted for the B20VTEC turbo treatment (still in the build up stage). If you want low end torque, with top end pull like I do, then this should be a can't miss set up. Just my opinion, but you can't replace displacement.

no doubt id like a 2000cc vtec engine for my turbo as well...but personally id imagine a b16 could be more fun b/c of the fact you can replace these motors for DIRT cheap. a b16 shorty goes for like 100 bucks nowadays... b20's 1kish... i would love to just rag on my car and not lose any sleep if i pop it. Both will be tons of fun in their own way.... if money is no object and power is the bottom line go b20... if you want careless fun on a budget go b16

I like the b16a horses over the b20's horses but the torque of the b20 is a good thing for some good old pulling power ( to pull away from someone that is ), the b16a will give you more horses in the long run but I would take the b16a over the b20 because the money for the replacement fact.
