If at all possible would you be able to give a run down on All -AN lines/fittings for boost control? I really only want to do my wifes setup once and am dreading a failed push lock line.

Your patience (at least the way you portray it online) is unbelievable. That's nice that King sells bearing that are already drilled. I know bearings aren't terribly expensive but I wouldn't want to drill them myself. What are you having airbrushed, or do you want it to be a surprise?

Can't wait to see you put up a new PB.

Well I guess the fittings would depend on the boost solenoid/solenoids being used but for Hondata Solenoid you would need 1/8 NPT to -4AN. Depending on the location of where your stuff is mounted you can figure out what line fitting you need like straight, 45 ,90 or whatever.

The tail blow off valve also is 1/8 NPT as well I got a cool 1/8NPT 90 degree swivel to -4.

Thanks, I am somewhat patient with my motor stuff because I know I wouldn't be racing during the summer but I get more impatient towards race season because I hate rushing. I'm at the point of being impatient because October we have events coming up so I want my motor so I can finish a list of stuff up LOL.

As for the valve cover I told him do something cool.

I think I’m going to start at $600, I think that’s is a pretty fair price.

The bearings for the motor came in and my engine builder was measuring clearances and noticed a little bind on the number 5 main journal. I went down and when you spin the crank slowly by hand you can feel where it catches just a little. Now this would be fine for most but the power my car makes my buddy Joe gave me another GSR crank so that was tested and it spins perfect. The crank was dropped off for polishing and the motor will be going back together.

Once I get the motor I can put everything back in and get the nitrous and a bunch of other Misc stuff done.

Get out the polishing cloth! You gotta measure clearances now for the new crank?

It was checked with the new crank and is all good but now the crank was getting polished.

I’m hoping everything is back together soon so I can install everything and finish up a bunch of the small things.

You and your builder like to assemble loose or tight? What bearings are you using? If u don’t mind sharing. If not I certainly understand.

Damn, just two months earlier and I would have been all over it. Local pick up and all. Glad to see things are coming together. Give us a heads up when you are getting down to the track. I'd like to make it out for that. It will be interesting to see how the track handles drag night too with all the Covid **** going on.

I am running a King Bearings this go round, I guess they have some new coating and they are already pre-drilled for aluminum rods. I think the clearances are set a little looser to account for expanding aluminum rods.

Yeah for sure, I was thinking IFO Tucson but I may be getting too close and don't want to rush. There will also be no more IFO's in Chandler anymore because the track owners were telling Cliff he has to charge for parking, like $15 bucks per car so Cliff told them no.

So we will have to see what is going on but I will let everyone know for sure.

Sorry, no update with the car, it's just collecting dust at this point LOL. I am still waiting on my motor to get done, the only thing I got recently related to my car was I bought a Yamaha Wolverine 450 4x4 to use as my pit vehicle. I ordered a push bar setup so when I am done with my passes I can just push my car back instead of driving it for a half mile.

My buddy uses a smart car, I was thinking of doing that but I don’t have room in my trailer for my car and a smart car. It works great at the track!

It seems like everyone at the track has figured out the Smart Car is the way to go. Tiny...and it has a tag so you can run out to town / parts store / etc.

It’s for sure nice to have but you would need a 36 foot trailer, I have a 24 foot trailer and I wouldn’t be able to safely have the race car, smart car, tools and miscellaneous stuff. Now if you have that go for it.
