I will say I’ve been working on the new trailer as of lately. Got a special coating for the floor to help keep oil soaking in and all that fun. Got a tool box full of tools in it, a tire loft, I ordered e-track and got that laid out and also a installed a stabilizer and sway bar as well.

I also ordered a drum of e98!

I was thinking about it, I know for sure I need to use like a killz primer but am not sure of the color.

I’ve been more interested in getting the accessories LOL. I ordered a pit boss 2 5-gallon race jug holder and had my eye on a nice aluminum fold up table that locks in.

I basically want it set up so that I have everything I need and a place to put it without falling or rolling around.

Trailer is looking great! What size slicks are you using? I’m having serious traction issues, my 60ft times are bad and I’m breaking traction through 3rd gear. I don’t understand why, people with more power than myself seem to not have this issue. I’m running 7 psi on some 24x9x13;s M/T’s

I run M&H 24.5x9.5x13’s, I ran them on a 9 inch wide rim but now I’m going to be running them on 10 wide.

I haven’t run Mickey’s in a long time, we all use M&H. By the way are you using rim screws?

If not you may want to check to make sure the slick is not moving on the rim. Use a grease marker and draw a line on the tire and rim. When you’ve made some passes make sure the lines still line up.

Small update: Yesterday Joe from Locash was working on the tune for a few hours going through many small details to ensure everything is good with the motor, sensors etc.

He slowly was increasing the power and last night we stopped just shy of 1000whp and are going to continue today and try and finish up.

Fingers crosses that everything works out and will update later.

Update: So we finished tuning the car on Saturday but just setting things like boost by gear, launch settings etc. so Joe stopped at 989whp at 8500 RPMs @38psi. He said we could find tune at the track, now this car shifts at 11k and goes up to 60psi so let you mind image what it can make.

Anyway today we get to the track and we knew it was going to be 90 degrees so first pass we were going to run basically lower boost. Well two things, When I launched it felt a little weird and it was all over the place on the track. It was hard to control but I made a pass.

Problem 1, all the little things I did to try and stop blow by into the main oil box didn’t work. After the pass I stopped to grab my shoot and noticed oil. Sure enough oil was everywhere under the hood, basically drenched. So going back to the pits, Joe was like you know what happened and I was like yeah I got oil all over, he was like take a look at your rear skinnies.

totally eaten away, the car squatted and was rubbing the tires entire pass so at least I now know why I was every where.

So with that, one pass was it. I’m not mad, just found a few more issues I need to resolve and get back out. Even with all that, car still ran a 9.3. So I will need a couple changes and will be back out.

Man I’m so happy for you to be back out buddy! These are problems that you can resolve on the fly unlike the last experience. 9.3 on a shake down pass is pretty damn exciting!

Thanks man! Yeah the oil box pisses me off worse than tires LOL. I have a plan for the oil box. Now that I have a breather in the rear, the filter will be converted to a 1 -12 or 16 not sure yet and totally seal the other. It will still drain back to the pan but it will keep the oil from blowing out the filters and all over my car.

‘I’m surprised you have that much blow by, but I’m also not not almost 1000hp so I’ve not experienced that problem yet

it’s a ton of crank case pressure, big turbo lots of boost. When I was on the Precision 6870 I never had this issue but it was a much smaller turbo.

Damn.. That's impressive! To run a 9.3 with problems. It's hard to wrap this around the noggin. Lol!

Congrats AZ. Even though it was only one pass, it has to feel good to be back in the driver's seat. You'll get these gremlins ironed out. Just wondering, what class are you racing in? You may have mentioned it before, but I was talking with Turbolscrx the other day and realized I didn't know the differences between the classes.

Yeah that's a good way to look at it, it was a wild ride from the launch until I pulled the chute.

Yeah it felt good to be back in the driver seat and get a pass in, just a bit angry that issues that plagued me before are still unresolved. So I am hoping to get the issues taken care of and be back at it soon since the weather is getting better. I race in the FWD (front wheel drive) class.

AWD would be pretty crazy but at this point it is just way too much money. To have all the right parts is going to cost me around 15k for my power level so I am going to just work on going as fast as possible front wheel drive right now.

I just saw some time slips from some FWD cars in Florida that were making 7.8 passes at like 191.

Now imagine if she wasn't squatting, she was pushing that 60psi and 11k shifts perfectly.. You'd be in mid to low 8, easy..
