Re: axle question (sweettooth)
It depends on how hard you drive them. Hard launches and shifting can snap them easily with a high power car, and a stiff clutch.

Re: axle question (gsr*lude)
How is everyone with high h.p. cars fortifying their trannies if they are upgrading to these stage 3
axles? Seems cheaper to bust axles than trannies.

Re: axle question (1)
Usually its the diff that goes in stock Honda trans 1st. If you use a Quaife, KAAZ, Cusco etc it will either spin the clutch or break a mainshaft/countershaft in the tranny... I honestly have not seen to many main or counters break in the newer trannys... stock Honda trannys are pretty damn impressive if you ask me. If you control your launch on the slicks ie: NOT DUMPING THE CLUTCH.. you hit that "sweet" spot on the clutch where its grabbing but not with a bang. Stuff should hold together pretty good, but it takes lots of practice.
To add to this.. I would rather have my trans break half way down the track than an axle.. it takes you a second to realize what has just happened when you break and axle. I dont want to be looking at a wall at over 120mph if it decides to break then. Most of the time if your trans breaks the car still goes straight... and its a bit more predictable.

Re: axle question (sweettooth)
I was about to buy the new solid stage 2 axles from them, but I think I will wait until the GB for them- they were $269 a piece and he said that they could handle the 400-450 wheel hp nicely, especially with a LSD(which I have)
Please someone post up a link when the buy goes down!
