I kinda was thinking about maybe doing 77ft-lbs like someone recommended earlier in the post.. Whats best? Moly lube or regular motor oil?

ita all preffernce i use the lube though..but i know many people that use the oil too and no probs...77ft lbs will be fine with the lube..i have had no probs with 72-78 on lube..1+year running strong on my daily driver..
Sounds like a scary moment I'd be kicking myself in the ***! Nice trick with the nail and epoxy, that stuff will hold anything.

It may be overkill, but who gives a ****?
Hand-tight to get the studs in the block.
Then when the head was on, 14 ft./lbs. in the proper sequence.
Then 20 ft./lbs.
Then 40 ft./lbs.
Then 65 ft./lbs. (using ARP lube)
Then 65 ft./lbs. again.
I have not retorqued after about 700 miles, I really should though.
