first off you DO NOT torque the headstuds into the block..They should come with a place at the top to put an allen wrench. And they should also have a nipple on there to keep the studs from bottoming out in the hole.Run the studs into the block with the allen wrench until it stops and make sure its all the way down. If youre using ARPs lube, put a good amount on the threads sticking out if the block, on the washers and inside the nuts. Torque to something like 20ft-lbs, then to 45 or so..then to 65ft-lbs. If youre using motor oil instead of ARPs lube, torque to 70ft-lbs. At least these are the specs for my gsr studs, should be the same tho.

For a b18
First to 22 lbf-ft
Second to 60 lbf-ft
Tighting order is
9.5.1.3.7
8.4.2.6.10</TD></TR></TABLE>
I used golden eagle 10ft-lb into the block, then 20 40 then loosen and do it again, then torque to like 72ft-lb don't remember exactly. Either way I'm sure it's more then stock. They are stronger then stock and 60ft-lbs may not stretch them.
