any thoughts on my set-up? 2.0L dart
for ever ive been reading other peoples dyno sheets, setups and suggestions. i finally got my setup completed and dynoed and would love some thoughts on mine!
1.8 dart block bored to 2.0
eagle crank and rods
JE pistons (comp?)
b16 head toda valvetrain
ferrea valves
b16 cams
ITR tranny
walbro 255
rc 770cc inj.
ITR intake mani. and TB (victor x IM and 68mm tb waiting for new ic piping)
t3/t4 .60 trim
onefab bottom mount
tial 44mm wg
greddy type s bov
ebay IC w/custom piping
open dp as of right now
it was tuned on crome to about 11 psi. on the dyno it measured 275 whp. im not sure what the torque reading was because i was not there when the car was dynoed. i really would just like to know if this sounds about right. i was under the impression that with this turbo and a 2.0l, i would break the 300hp mark at 11psi. im probably wrong, but what do you guys think? i know the turbo is not really efficient at this boost level, but does that mean that as the psi rises and reaches a more efficient part of its map, lets say at about 18-20 psi, will the hp increase significantly? i believe this turbo is good to around 550hp. thanks

Those two bolded items actually go together in the same breathe??? Congrats on getting it haha.
I would think 275 is respectable for 11psi on that turbo. I don't think it's that and might be able to be higher, but it's a start. What size is the downpipe/exhaust though? I would think (again haha) that you'll see some nice gains with the new intake hopefully.

heh. actually i have no connection at all with one fab as far as getting any product, or at all for that matter. i just happened to stumble upon one of their mani's brand new from someone so i scooped it up. the dp is 3'. its open downpipe for now, because i havent yet connected the exhaust, which is a 2.5in greddy catback. pretty shitty. but i plan on getting a test pipe soon (for off-roading of course) and getting a 3' cutout. and yeah as soon as i can get the new ic pipe for the victor x and tb, get a 3 bar and an aem, im turning the boost up. like i said i just wanted to gauge the probable increase in hp after the boost is turned up, as opposed to the 275 it put down.

im not sure of the dyno, and im pretty sure the compression is between 9-9.5. the block was built by an engine builder who built it for somebody who skipped out. the guy never told me exactly what the compression should have been, he said around 9.

Well lower compression could cost you a little hp, not much...but some. Different types of dyno's will show different results for the same car in the same conditions. I dynod at 267/195 on a mustang dyno. On a dynojet I would probably get around 310. Will you be using the same dyno when you tune with higher boost?

Re: (1158)
im not sure, i guess i will see. i still want to find out what kind of dyno was used in tampa 2 days ago. im still not sure who im going to use to get the high boost tune.
possibly jeff evans, synapse, or local nrg tech. well see. so i guess 275 is about right. id love to get the victor x and 68mm tb, along with some gsr cams on there but i cant afford a new tune just for these mods, and then another for the high boost. so i will probably just put those on when i do the high boost tune and break the F*** loose. thanks.
