Default new dyno numbers...

hey guys i just got back from the dyno today to see what the new setup is making before i figure out a direction to go from here, heres the setup:

-built block d16z6 (eagle rods, vitara pistons, arp headstuds)
-act 6 puck unsprung clutch
-stock si tranny
-hahn t3 flanged 16g turbo w/10.5 exhaust housing
-680cc precision injectors
-38mm wastegate w/ old crappy 1 bar spring
-custom turbo manifold
-tial 50mm bov

car has now been through 30+dyno pulls, and somehow is still running. The only problem happened today when i couldnt get the wastegate to hold anything over 17psi of boost, so here are the numbers @17psi:

in case you cant see it, it made 295whp and 255tq, thats 15more hp than the old setup, and 45 more foot lbs of torque, the differences in this setup from the last is a smaller but proper sized turbo, full 2.5" exhaust (yes, no open downpipe on this pull) new dumptube, and fixed some boost leaks...

with 20psi and the cutout open it should be an easy 320whp, this rules... also picked up some 22x8x13" m&h slicks today, hopefully be ordering my full-race traction bar tomarrow if i have the cash, CANT WAIT!!!

haha this is the kicker:
old turbo=turbonetics t3 60-1
new turbo=t3 flanged hahn 16g w/ 10.5cm hot side...

odd, that this one made more hp at 17psi than the other did at 21, ive heard bad things about 60-1 on d16 (especially with stock head and intake manifold like me) i figure the turbo was outflowing the engine, and just backing things up (surge limit)...

T3/60-1

And why are you suprised that the car is still running after 30 dyno pulls?

haha because i tuned it!!!

this car is a COMPLETE budget build, youd have to see it to know, i made the equal length manifold, piping, downpipe, exhaust, tuned it myself, notched the block, honed the block, installed EVERYTHING lol, and ive made my mistakes along the way and detonated on it a few times, but it seems to be as strong today as ever...

its got 30+ dyno runs on it now, and proly 25 passes at the track, along with id say over 50 street races and numerous highway pulls, at boost levels sometimes over 20psi, lol, the day i started tearing into the stock block to do this i never imagined it would get this far, i guess youd have to see where im from to understand, im the ONLY person in my area that even knows what crome is at this point...
