any new info on turbo and tracking issues?
i was just wondering if there was any new inputs from people who HAVE turbo kits and doing HDPE (not auto cross or drag) 30 minutes track sessions and over heating issues etc...
the research ive done so far seems like peopel with small turbos that arent boosting too much and tuned, cooling system (aftermarket radiator ) etc seem to do ok..
I really want to turbo the integra gsr but want to know from people who have gone that route and tracking their car if they still think it is wise??? thanks
OR would a jrsc be more reliable for tracking?

Re: (racekar)
you are better off turbocharging it if your gona race for extended periods of time, jrsc is gona heat soak on ya and you'll be loosing power.
Cooling problems can be fixed with new a new radiator but there is a lot of people that just slap on a couple of high flowing slim line fans on that integra radator and have no problems at all..

Buddy of mine runs a 98 GSR with a neukin mani, GT30R, PTE "600 HP" cooler, rebuilt motor with 9:1 CP's and eagle rods. Neukin mani lets you keep the full length rad and he said his car runs pretty gool at open track days. 350 WHP on the straights pulling on Porsches is sick.

I am trying to find this out to. So far, oil pumps go bad at high rev all the time. Boosting on and off cant be that great, and what about long straights can it handle the heat the the turbo make. cooling and any thing else. I run open for a 1/2 mile straight and some turns, blew main bearing one time broke a cam another broke 2 oil pumps.
You need a least 6 quarts of oil run on a road course. Oil shifting from left and right.
Overheating, I install a performance radiator ,now the car runs hot all the time.

I run HPDE in my 400+ WHP turbo Civic. I got a Fluidyne (half-width) radiator for it and I have no heat issues. It used to get real hot with the stock radiator, but since I put the Fluyidyne radiator in it, it never goes above halfway up the gauge. I ran it at Roebling Road last month, and that's a very fast track. I was hitting 150+ on the straight and the temps stayed cool. I use a water-cooled ball-bearing GT3071R turbo and was making 20 PSI of boost with it.
