I fired up my motor this past Friday for the first time. Waited four months to get it back... After all the waiting I was happy, and a little nervous to get it back after reading some threads regarding Golden Eagle.
She fired up like a champ. So far so good. 25 miles down, and 1000 to go...
I hope you get your situation taken care of man. I might be hitting up Lawrence to do the Hondata tuning for me. Take care!

let us know what happens!!! In GE's defense you guys have to remember how many fockin blocks they must do. I cant even guess, but there is going to be some that are not perfect. It sucks that its yours, but its gotta be understood that the risks we take when building a motor are high. Id just be happy that GE is going to take care of you the best they can. For whatever reason you picked GE and it sounds like they have helped you....thats more than JG would do!!!

that sucks kyle, I just read ur thread
I would strongly consider getting a gsr shortblock and calling it a day. or get some other stupid car.
my car might be running this week, so we have both been waiting around 5 or so months to get this taken care off.
not fun at all. but hang in there, what doesnt kill you will only make u stronger and smarter

Good luck on your project Rob. I havent given up yet. I just cant get myself to that point. Im putting 1000 miles on the motor before any decisions are made. I want to make sure everything is done by GEM's book. I also have no time right now to be worrying about pulling a motor, finding transport, ect. Too much going on in my life.
It didnt kill me, and yes, I learned a lot ! FI requires much dedication. If and when I get my car complete, I will now be able to respect other built FI cars in a different way

The reason im pointing my finger to the rings is because when I added oil to the cylinders, the compression jumped up. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I know you said you don't have the time or want to look for antoher block, but I do have a JDM b18c block sitting in my garage in case your interested. I wasn't planning on selling it but I might for the right price...
I had it in my car while Golden Eagle was building my motor.
Just trying to help...
