Thanks tony, your giving me hope.
Im going to check the valves after school.
The reason im
pointing
my finger to the rings is because when I added oil to the cylinders, the compression jumped up.

Damn i hate seeing all these threads on built motors, they seem to be more and more common lately. It makes me wanna say **** it,and just keep rolling stock motors, if it blows another stock block. Sorry to hear about that man
.
.
mine was the same results, but my cyl 3 was leaking out the dipstick tube . i was hoping it was valves too. youll find out when you rip the head off.
From my experience I would take the engine apart and check the piston clearnances and the bore straightness/taper. In my experience (my block) their clearances were pulled out of a hat, luckily too small, and I had to have them re-done. If yours are too big oil would've helped seal up the gaps and help your numbers.

Well I had Golden Eagle do my block and i also heard of a few people's sleeves dropping but more and more times i continue to hear more problems..... Well i hope all goes well for me on the dyno will find out soon enough how well they built my block.

If a ring was broken on assembly then i could see a problem, but not on 3 cylinders. I'd double check everything on the head. Make sure the valves lash isn't too tight, that could do it too. If the lash is good, then you're gonna have to pull the head. If everything looks peachy with the cylinder walls then take your head to a good machine shop and have them check it out.</TD></TR></TABLE>
If the valve lash is too tight will it show up on a compression test also??

Exact reason I had my machine work done at Endyn. Larry even said he has seen some horendous (spelling) machine work come from there. I didn't want to take the chance. I had Reher Morrison do mine.

My block is supposed to be finished this week. I am going to have thorough examination of it before putting the head on. I'll let you know how it turns out. Hopefully I have better luck than you.

GE has never seemed bashful about addressing any other situations or what not.
If anything you have to give them credit for not handling things like JG.
I hate when people try to tell you it is raining when they **** on your leg though... someone should realize it is a problem and not to just keep running it 5-600 miles more.

Im not pissing on anyones leg, and I have not driven 5-600 miles. Yes, I sure do know its a problem, and thats why I created a thread.
im gonna recheck my leak down test. last time i did mine, it was 30-40% on #2 #3, 15% on #1 #4, GE sleeves Cometic gasket. i thought i had a leaky HG or a fucked up leak down tester. i have now a new head/valvetrain and GE HG, im gonna recheck the leakdown when i get a chance...
intekragsr: are u losing coolant and have heating issues? losing oil also?

I just did the valve lash. They were slightly out of spec. Rechecked compression and got the same results.
Im not burning any coolant, but I am burning a slight amount of oil. I still get people who tell me I smell like burnt oil at work, but I guess Im immune to the smell now.

Honestly, maybe turbo Hondas aren't for you man. I've never heard of anyone as unlucky (not dumb, just unlucky) as you are when it comes to boost. Perhaps you should sell your GSR, your other motors and your turbo setup and get an EVO or STi with all the money you've spent? Just a thought, not a flame.

on me.
