Default From all motor to forced induction...

I am planning to boost my h22a ek but thing is i am not sure how much boost i can safely push with my setup since i have higher compression than stock. heres my setup:

Endy 87.5 high comp pistons 11:1 compression
H22 Eagle rods
golden eagle sleeved block
head was machined and all seals replaced
Fluidyne radiator
Skunk2 Stage 2 camshaft, springs, retainers, cam gears
RC fuel pressure regulator
theres probably been like around 8000 miles on the motor

I want something reliable and daily driveable for a while until i get my beater finished. any suggestions? thanks

Not in the double digit , you could do it but it too risky if you are going to be running 93 octane

Why don't you give Jeff a call and see what he suggests and what some obtainable goals would be for your given setup? I'm sure he would be willing to give a bit of advice especially if you are getting it tuned by him. He is deffinately one of the few guys I would totally trust w/my engine tuning.

So 10-15 psi of boost isn't achieveable based on my current setup? So pretty much all I would need is low comp pistons right since I already habe the rods and the the block sleeved. If I were to get say 9:1 pistons, how much boost can I safely push?

Thanks

You can't measure in boost man, boost in relevant to the size and specs of the turbo, you measure in horsepower which is different from turbo to turbo at different PSI's if that makes sense.

That being said, if you had the fuel to support it as well as a well sized turbo and enough intercooler, I don't see what at 9:1 you couldn't make 400+- HP with a GE sleeved H22 on pump gas (93), but that could be at 14 lbs and could be at 24 lbs depending on what you are using for a turbo.

Ahhh...I see yeah I am trying to shoot for around 400whp on 94 octane with maybe a t3/t4 turbo. I wanted to go with a 60-1 turbo but.......I don't know, I don't want it to be spooling up too fast, maybe like around 4-4500

I'd run 10-15 on that setup with good tuning. I'm getting ready to up my boost from 8-10 on about a 12:1 setup and I think it will run fine (JDogg tuned with an AEM EMS).

Also, why switch from Crome to Hondata?

The thing is man, with an H22 and that kind of compression, you are going to be hard pressed to find something to spool that late. To make that kind of power though, I would look in here and choose from there. Part # 11009 looks to be your friend.
