Default 1998 ITR- Now what? :)

Hey guys,

I have a 1998 ITR (#1085), mostly stock right now. 50K miles. I do some driving schools and occasional autocross. I used to autocross more but haven't made time for it.

I was thinking about a JSRC @ 8 or 11 PSI (with injectors, Hondata ECU etc.). Seems like a straightforward way to go. King Motorsports is in the area so I'd probably go through them.

Looking throught the posts, it sounds like damn near all of you guys are running Turbos though, and it sounds like they all make more power than the JRSC setups. Would I be an idiot to spend $5000-$6000 for only 230-250 HP at the wheels? Can I get a reliable 300 HP for mostly street and occasional track for a good price with the B18C5?

Thanks for advice. Sorry for being a n00b. This has surely been debated to death before but I couldn't find a link to a SC vs. Turbo post.

Chris

Turbo is the way to go with 11 pounds on a supercharger you would be in the 250-260 area, and with turbo you should be easily over 300. Roughly the same price as well.

Try searching for "JRSC turbo" "turbo supercharger" and similar concepts. Make sure you check archived posts as well.
