I'm an oddball man, I listen to almost everything. I even went to the Barber of Seville opera and Ozzfest in the same month. Usually when I burn a CD to listen to in my car it goes something like Pantera, Dre, Cradle of Filth, something trendy like Britney Spears, Steppenwolf, chris ledoux, and then some random *** song like "Big Bear" from the Super Troopers soundtrack lol.

I'd make a crappy gang banger. My pants fit, i'm pretty well educated, I have a job, and i don't shoot my guns holding them sideways.

Nitrous and carburetors, the ultimate bang for the buck. Even though im going EFI, I still love my carburetors.

Pretty compact system you did there, even welded in bungs and everything. Very nice work. Did you run one set of soft plume nozzles and one set of annulars?

Those pics bring up another point to talk about. Nitrous filters. Great for nitrous fill stations, not so goon on your vehicle. In all honesty, with a couple precautions they are totally unnecessary. If you get a new bottle or especially a used bottle, yank the valve out and ensure that the bottle is 100% free of debris inside. Then just make sure that whatever fill station you are using has a good filter on it and you should never need a filter on your car. I have even herd of some people just attatching the filter to the bottle as a secondary measure (if your getting you bottle filled somewhere you are not fimiliar with) and then just removing it after the fill.

Nitrous filters can lose a race for you really quick if it ever has to do its job. It happened to me once. I was using a bottle that I just bought used the other day. The Car screamed for about the first 60' and then just crapped itself. After the race I pulled the filter to find that it was full of some kind of paper/skin looking material. So I had a 10lb bottle full of 9.9lbs of polluted nitrous. After venting the nitrous out of the bottle I found that there was quite a lot of this crap in the bottom of the bottle. I just cleaned the stuff out, ditched my filter, and ensured that the fill station I was using had a good filter and I never had a problem again.

i mostly agree about the filters, but these are a very long stainless cone so they offer nearly no restriction or any element to loose. also, i built this before i had my own fill station so we incorporated every precation. notice the recirculating modification to the fuel pressure regulators? it holds a jet so it is easy to set pressure with system at opporating flow and then switch back.

one set is annular discharge, the other is the old crappy 90s... soft plumes would be a good idea now.

thanks, guys. you have no idea how many hours we spent doing and redoing until i was happy with the way it came out.

Ahh the sweet azz A nozzles, ya those were a bit of a scary design.

As far as the filter goes, I mainly don't like them because they are just one more factor and one more possible failure point in the system. I treat all of my systems like a science experiment. The fewer variables we have to deal with, the fewer factors we must consider to come to a conclusion (tune). Thats why I don"t run siphon tubes, why I run 1 piece feedlines, why I don't like filters, why I always build systems out of hard line instead of pfte lined braided, etc etc.

Everything in racing is about consistency and repeatability.
