LOL awsome! Though if you wanna get all scientific about it there is a difference between a gas and a vapor. See, I just can't help myself from sparking debate lol.

Speaking of pointless crap to talk about. SOLID nitrous... You never hear of it, but does it exist?

Yeah it does. Somewhere around here ive got a few pictures of me making Margaritas using chunks of solidified nitrous as ice cubes.

Just take your bottle (with the bottle nut on) aim it toward a perpendicular flat surface and crank her open. You will soon see a white cone of solidified nitrous form. Don't believe its solid nitrous? Think its just moisture in the air freezing? Try holding onto it with your bare hands.

The nice thing is that it works just like dry ice and phase changes directly from solid form to gaseous form....... so it won't watter down your drink.

so... if dry ice carbonates your drink... what does nitrous do.... im gonna try this... hehe. i think im gona buy a filling station for the hell of it... beats paying to refill your own tank..

of course i dont know if i really need nitrous on my setup... all the math me and my buddies at garrett have done i should make 500whp at 18psi on 93octane.... could i benefit at all from a 50 or 75 direct port shot?

Nitrous just makes for a "foggy" cold *** drink.

Of course you could benefit from some spray on that motor. Why settle for 500HP when you can have 600HP at the flip of a switch.

2 15lb bottles?? Are you building a car or a portable fill station? lol Having 70lbs of nitrous bottles and using .75lbs per pass is a little futile.

If I was going to do a show system I would do the following. Take my basic direct port system, polish the billet stainless nozzles up (shiny =bling), In lieu of the typical blue/red combo (thats way overdone IMO) i'd opt for the new black fittings.... they look awsome. I'd fab up some custom stainless dist blocks with stainless fittings (using the black tube nuts as an accent). Use my usual stainless hard line (but polish it because shiny = bling). Since it would be a show piece I'd get a bit more fancy with my bending work and build it with equal length lines. Show systems are fun..... as long as you use them.

well, it would be controlled by my aem ems... but i will definitely use it. the nice thing about 75lbs of nitrous.... someone looks under my hood then sees the bottle then bows and walks away

have any links to this stuff? i have yet to see the black fittings in nitrous use. i use some of the an stuff in my fuel system so i think it would look badass.

also, about the custom dist. blocks... i could have someone machine them but why not just buy exisiting ones, strip and polish them. I should have some left over 3/16" line from my brake systems... good enough? any more info i guess post here or pm me

If I see someone with 1 stage of nitrous and 2 big bottles in back, I definitly bow and walk away....... laughing.

Here is a pic of a system with the black fittings, this is one of Dave Koehlers systems. I think they make for a pretty clean looking system.

You could just strip a standard set and polish them, its just that most blocks are aluminum and polished aluminum isn't as cool as stainless.

If you are using .035" wall seamless 3/16" stainless tubing, that should work just fine.

lol. but what if its like a 150 shot... hehe, i might just run one bottle i dunno yet. ive been talking to loucie at l-con about bringing my car to cali to let him do som cage work... i thought it would be kind of cool to have two bottles mounted on the cage just sort of hanging in mid air.

its stainless line, i will most likely get the black fittings if i do this... i was talking about buying the blue and red dist. blocks and stripping them to polish them. whats the cost difference like between the red/blue and the black fittings?

I think the black units are pretty close to the same price as the red/blue.

Just remember.... big bottles arn't scary... big jets are scary.

well, the motor will be taxed on pump gas already.. 500whp at 18psi on pump. i wouldnt want to do more than a 50-75 shot.... this is a 15,000 dollar motor we are talking about here

THE NITROUS HAS IT'S OWN FUEL.......you would tune it like any other wet system
you are borderline on the pump gas issue and that is w/a very very GOOD TUNER.

like they say when in doubt pull out......

if i were you i would run race gas..ask your self is it worth a 15k motor
that should tell you real quick.

here is a little tip for you:THE NITROUS KNOWS WHEN YOU ARE SCARED.

Run good fuel and none of the above will be a problem.

93 will only take you so far.hell the 500 on pump is gonna be impressive enought.
and i would say the only time your gonna spray is at the track..because
you won't have any traction on the street @500+
