are fuel cells 100% guaranteed? we have a few customers waiting to know that one. and nobody wants to get started on that part of it until they are positive they will be legal. pretty much the same customers are wanting to know if they will be required to run an exhaust or not?
thanks glen. shoot me a pm if you dont want to post that in here.

and to further that question do the cells need to be in stock location or can they be in the rear tire well (passenger compartment with the proper enclosure built to seperate it from the passenger compartment) like most people do.

I am just curious where the all motor street cars fit in?
I built my car to follow the rules for NHRA SS. I would just like to know what I can and cannot change, like tires and weight.

I asked as well Joe, The answer I got was.... "we feel as though it would only be safer to run a fuel cell. We requested it to be permitted, now let's see what NHRA thinks...."
I know it doesn't help, but it shows that you are not the only one who thinks about this topic too. lol

If you built it for SS you will be fine for power street.
Except now you can run slicks. I emailed Glenn earlier today about weight limits and exhaust for power street. The response I received was - No min. weight for NA cars and exhaust for all cars.

I will bet that the weight limits are going to be like SS.

Just talked to Glen, no more Bia's tires for turbo FWD, Radials only...
The good news is we can use a big tire, up to 84" rollout. And we can trim the fenders up to 1"..
Max turbo is 67.75mm
This might be enough to change my mind and go back to TS, not a fan of radials.
Also, Chute rules are now NHRA, no more 135mph and you need a chute and
you won;t need to pull it at 150.

When did you hear about the roll out size? I've heared from numerous sources including NOPI that we will be limited to a 225 radial.

no racing this year for me then. I and most others cant afford the parts breakage on radials. wow that sucks. I really liked the rules last year and now have a usless set of $350 tires and wheels I used once.
this is by far enough to hold up a build. I would have to budget in over 2000 more that I dont have and dont have the sponsors for. oh well no racing for me

im confused, are you saying that you break more **** on a drag radial than a bias ply tire? I find that really hard to believe.

have you ever run on a bias ply tire? you dont get broken tranny mounts, destroyed trannys, twisted hubs, broken axles, etc.
bias ply will not wheel hop where as a radial always will. I have NEVER broken anything on slicks or DOT bias plys where I have destroyed all that is listed above on radials racing power street 2 years ago.
Not to mention the AWD cars on true street radials can go mid 10s as was proven last year so FWDs on drag radials will be lucky to qualify if there are 8 awd cars even with low 11's as times

When has there ever been 8 AWD cars in the low 11's at an event? Come on man, if FWD's can use only radials, it's the same rules as two years ago.
