I would not want to have Glenn's job right now, he is the messager that gets a bed rap for things he can not control.

NO FWD turbo car has gone 10s in competition since the CM car 2 years ago did it on BFG's. You specificly said the FWD guys could run a bias ply last year so how that was grey area I dont know and I didnt see not ONE AWD with a bias ply last year in powerstreet. NOT ONE!!!!!!

last year-If the AWD guys ran street radials less breakage. FWD on bias plys they would have less breakage and all motor slick cars have low breakage

This year- AWD guys will stat on street radials and still go 10s. slick all motor cars will do the same. FWD turbo cars with destroy drivetrains and not hold a match to the competition.

THANKS!!!!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>

Jim Hucks went 10's in his crx on drag radials back in 05. With alot less power than most of you guys have. No VtaK y0!

I am very aware of that, but again lighter chassis and pretty expensive drivetrain parts other than a fully built tranny and cuff. That isnt to take away from what Jim did, but I just know a lot of people cant afford to not break stuff and Jim went 10.9 in a very light car where as some of the AWD in the class on true street tires are goin 10.5's or better. thats a big difference

They broke, bad luck, or beat on the tree. Also what alot of people are forgetting is this class is still quite new and for a 600plus whp car on a dot tire there has been a learning curve. Last year at the MIR events there where alot of low 11 FWD guys still working on their combos on the bias ply DOT's. Loan's car was a consistent 11.0 car where as the power adder FWD's had yet to find the consistency in their setups. If they switch back to a dot radial tire alot of last years PWS guys will have 300 dollars in tires that are no good and have lost a entire year of figuring out their cars and start over on a radial. Not to mention the added drive line issues with a radial DOT.

Last year was a funky year for PWS since so many people were new to the class, the rules where right last year with the dot bias plys for the FWD's. Alot of people are also forgetting just how fast the AWD HAVE ALREADY gone. They were going mid 10's back in 06 on a true street tire, last year the AWD's went just as fast but didnt go rounds. So why slow the FWD's down with a true radial when they have yet to go as fast as the AWD did 2 years ago and last year on a true street tire?

Wouldn't BFG be a nice sponsor for that class if most of it ran on a radial

what expensive drivetrain parts???
a twin disc clutch, some dss axles, and a quaife lsd? or maybe the ultra expensive skunk2 coilovers and kyb shocks?
jim's car was very basic, he was smart enough to make it work... thats all

Having incorrect information passed out here is worse than not having rules at all. I feel bad for anyone that's gone ahead with their builds due to some of the misinformation that's been posted here. Just wait for the rules to be posted, and stop posting bad information, please
