Yeah, if that's the case it's a bit disappointing. I was looking forward to getting beat by all you this year.

yup and 2 years ago I almost gave it up cause of far far too much in breakage. sucks that they push racers away cause they cant afford to make reliable set ups for the rules.

I believe 2 years ago at norwalk the top 4 or 6 were AWD cars with Dan Balijus(sorry if I miss spelled the last name Dan) running 10.2's.

My gripe isnt even gettin stomped it is breaking 4k worth of parts I cant afford. Just glad I didnt buy a truck and can get out of it now.

Radials break **** bad. The only way the FWD can hang with the AWD is a bias ply tire, look at the CM integra went 9.50's on slicks and 11.0s 10.9's on radials. Radials just cant take the abuse with out wheel hopping and breaking parts.

exactly. thats why my car is for sale in the FS thread

I would love to hear the reasoning for making the class less attainable for the low buck grassroots guy. Im sure it is tire company BS politics but just would love to hear it

Some other tid bits from today. This is from memory so it may not all be right!

Turbo Street is the name for the Spfwd-T4 cars. Most cars will run 72mm turbo's,
Ecotech and K's will get 70's and I think he said 68's for AWD cars.

AWD's 2900 pounds, FWD 2450, 2nd power adder is 150 pounds. Strain gauge
setups add 50 pounds.

AWD is a 70mm/no nos with slicks and you have to run radials if you add nitrous. Weight limits dont really matter cause they are heavy anyway.

25lb of lead is $55.00 so that would be $550 of just weight

well I guess it is better then being an under weight hatch

I also heard that at the end of the track there gonna build a huge 100ft launch ramp, for us to get some air, Then we can pull our chutes and float it down. To excite the competition and please the crowd. But thats just what i heard.
j/k.
You maybe right Jeff i think it was a 100lb combo for both crash box and strain gauge.

That just possibly could be what it takes to draw the focus from the girls and drifting.

low budget 600hp range? 67mm turbos are capable of making 750+whp, as far as im concerned that budget isnt much different than a sfwd car making 800+.

now imagine a 750whp awd car good luck competing on radials even with the weight advantage.

After hearing that, I will definately put the chute on the car even before the rules are released.

Steve, you definately did not pay attention to most of what I told you. Most of the Turbo Street stuff you qouted was way off......

In Power Street, the AWD cars that went mid 10's where on the DOT tires that the fwd cars were on. Due to the rules being fairly grey, most got by with running a version of the M/T ET Street.........Not what the rules were intended to be..........

Now the FWD cars will be on Drag radials, as well as the AWD cars......

Just so you know, this is how everyone gets confussed on everything. When people try and remember what the rules are.........

Sorry to be an *** about this, but, we will just have to wait for the rulebook to be released now. I don't want anymore info passed out that is incorrect........
