Nah. Just some plannning. I am going to tone it down to a 50 shot. I figured that I needed to pull more timing, and that isn't gonna happen on this dizzy without drilling it out.

I did figure out what I'm going to be doing next summer though...

I've decided I'm tired of having an old engine on nitrous. I will run this setup until I have the new one ready to drop in. Built A6 putting down around 300. Obviously It'll take some money to do correctly, so I won't be finishing it til next summer.

But it's already in the works!

And you say you have to drill the distributor out? You are doing something wrong. I just fixed timing on a ZC. It was at 10*

Lol, I think you are misunderstanding.

You move the dizzy in order to adjust the timing. Well, the distributor has been rotated so much that it won't go anymore. It maxed out at 14*.

In order to get it to go further, I'd have to dremel out the little tracks the bolts move on. Unless you know of a way to get more timing out of it...

Hehe, I think it is you. What I was saying is. I just set the timing on a ZC (like yours) and it was at 10*. I adjusted it to 16*. So, if you need to dremel out the holes, I would first check to see if you are setting the timing correct. Like: jumping the service connector, etc.

My buddy Ross did it at the Honda dealership. He is a certified Honda technician. I trust he knows how to adjust timing.

Your computer controls the timing too. You have mechanical timing (moving your distributor) and electrical timing (what your ECU adds). When you jumper the service connector, it locks the ECU timing so you can adjust the mechanical timing to spec. IF you do not jump it, the ECU will try to "correct" the timing with you move the distributor.

OBD0/1/2 are all the same when adjusting the timing.
