thanks bro.

i bought a 3m sanding block at the beginning of the project. used it to knock down the body fill and hi-build primer. didn't care for it so i started to wetsand with my bare hands. burned though some edges and made more work for myself. harmonator 84 suggested that i make a custom sanding block. found a piece of 1/8" neoprene gasket material and i've been using that. my block is basically a 2"x4" piece of 1/8' neoprene gasket that is very flexible. after burning through edges quite a few times i've learned how to avoid them and use non-stick tape for extra protection. never used soap, only water while wetsanding.

installed the dash and cluster. went to the dmv and got the paperwork for registration and tiltle. found a police officer to verify the vin. went back to the dmv and got tags/registration and applied for a new title. all done in 2 hrs.
installed the license plate with one bolt halfway threaded in. reconnected the coolant lines and reinstalled my tb. filed up the radiator with coolant. installed the battery and used one of the holes for the speaker pods for a ground. installed the ecu and remembered i needed to hook up the blower to bleed the cooling system. tightened up the bolts on the fenders and headlights and reinstalled the hood. disconnected the fuel injectors and dizzy and cranked it to build up some oil pressure. reconnected the dizzy and injectors and started the car. drove it around the block w/o any issues. all done in 1.5 hrs.

took the car out again and at 60 mph i heard a knocking sound. it was the bulb for the R bumper light. removed it. paid the $.50 toll, shifted at 8k in third on the onramp and got to my destination early. so far so good.

went out again after dark. turned the lights on and came back becuase the cluster wasn't illuminated. threw in my DA dimmer switch and the cluster lights worked. i've driven about 25 miles so far and i make a left turn and hear a wrench sliding across the pavement. found my missing flare nut wrench.

pics after leak testing the car. the hatch seal leaks and everthing else is sealed. f/r bumper covers are brand new oem. new L rear 1/4 and L side protector moulding.

new side protector moulding.

one of the bolts to mount the front bumper is stripped so no front bumper for now.

interior consists of a seat, dash, cluster, ecu, battery, hvac control, DA dimmer switch and seatbelt for now. after 7 months the car is drivable again.

OMNI was in my price range. spending 100's of $s on paint for my 1st paint job didn't make sense to me. what's wrong with OMNI paint btw?

the radiator is a custom usdm part

hood has never lined up properly with the fenders.

used my homemade holepunch to make rubber washers to raise the fender.

much better afterwards.

car is about 25 ft from the garage door. before headlight adjustment.

adjusted the bottom screw on the headlight with a 3/16" allen key. This moves the headlight up/down. The top adjustment screw is a phillips head and moves your headlight left/right.

the oem gaskets dryrotted.

threads for the left dash mount, right front bumper support bracket and backseat were damaged.
picked up a tap and put some cutting oil on the tip. all damaged threads are repaired and i can fully thread in these bolts by hand now.

front end is done.

interior quarter panel plastic, speaker pods, rear seat, and cargo cover are reinstalled.
car is throwing codes left and right. i've had a reoccuring code 1 (after a modded p73-->stock p30 IM swap), and intermittent codes 15 and 22.

vegaskurt, FernEF, JakeIsCool, wiZCo, jdmazm, I Like Hondas, CBURKE, jdmdc10, harmonator 84 i appreciate all the posive feedback.

great job, the car looks awsome, one question, how much clearance do you have with that header, it looks like it sits pretty low? Anyway, nice job man
