thanks man. her friend is staying at disneyworld for two days. hmmm...."why don't you stay at the hotel with your friend?"
works out good for both of us.

thanks. have to plan mods when they're not around because it makes everything go much smoother.
update-went shopping for exhuast fans today at lowes. biggest one i could find was 180 cfm and that wasn't enough for me. came home with a 2 ton air handler capable of moving 800 cfm. should be more than enough exhaust.

tonight i'm going to make a plenum, wire it up and run the ducts. going to finish taping up the inside of the car this evening as well.

I have the same body style and I was thinking of painting it after my turbo setup is completed. Ive painted cars before, but I havent been as meticulous as you are. Thats very inspiring to me.

thanks. my dad always said "you get out of life what you put into it". plus everything has to go right so i'm doing what's necessary.
update-exhaust fan is installed and works better than i thought it would. everything except the unit was salvaged so it's not pretty but works fabulous. Do not try this at home Lol. sheet metal can slice you up and 240V might hurt.
plenum-used sheet metal framing studs to make a box, wrapped the box with sheetmetal, left the endcap off so i could screw it to the bottom of the unit, screwed to the unit, made an endcap, and finally sealed with metal tape.
electrical-the orange wire is 240V (10ga wire with a ground) power for the fan. The fan pulls 1A so i just spliced into the other AC unit in the garage instead of adding a seperate circuit. The brown wire is 18ga 3 wire t-stat cable used to relocate the controls from the attic to the garage.

Replaced my attic access panel with ductboard. Cut holes in the plenum and ductboard, made start collars and ran two ducts. One is 9" and the other is 10".

when the fan comes on the garage door pulls in and the howling begins.
The filters are pleated 24x24x1 and suction is holding them up.

props on painting it mad tite montreal blue. and taking the time to do it right. the wait is well worth it.
Edit: did it originally come in montreal blue? it seems very flat on the car in the first pics, reminds me more of superior blue, like there isn't much metallic to it.
i dunno, maybe its just the florida sun.

Thanks. yes it left the factory with b35m paint. b-35m is a shade darker than superior blue and it's hard to see the metallic unless you're right up on the car.

The wife had to go somewhere for the day, so last night I called my boss told him i had something to do in the morning and i'd be done between 9-10. he said "ok" no questions asked.
started at 7am this morning. rolled the car into the driveway and watered down the garage walls and floor. pushed the car back into the garage and wiped it down with wax/grease remover. then wife left at 8am this morning and at 8:01 I started painting. Mixed up 12 oz. paint, 3 oz. slow hardener, and 3 oz. slow reducer, strained it and dumped it into the gun. started at the top and worked my way down. after the gun was empty i waited 20 minutes and repeated 4 times.
at 9:45 painting was complete.

I beleive the exhaust fan made the difference between a paint job and a great paint job. check out that air filter. I figured after the paint hardened that the fan would be useles with the plugged filter. i had a spare so i swapped them out.

orangepeel isn't too bad. I'm going to let it dry for a week and then i'll wetsand it with 2000 and buff it to a shine,

I dont know if I would wait a week to wetsand and buff. Some hardener gets really really hard to sand after more than a few days. But I am not sure which brand you are using so I could be wrong in this case.
