VTEC only pops 1st time???
so my friend just finished with his LS/VTEC build. the car will only pop VTEC once in a while and he would usually have to shut the car off and start it back up again in order for VTEC to pop, but once it pops the 1st time it wont really pop again. but someimes it would pop more than once.
I made the ECU for him (P06 converted to P28 running uberdata). i thought it was the ecu so i swapped in my working P28 ecu but it still does the same thing. so i decided to disable a few things in UBERDATA like the Vtec Pressure switch, VTEC coolant check, and VTEC popping at less than 20 mph. but the car still did the same thing. im guessing it's a mechanical problem. we're gonna try to swap the VTEC solenoid and see whats good.
but any info will be helpful in trouble shooting this problem

man why r most of u honda-tech guys so picky with the little things? no wonder most people hate on honda-tech members.
well anyways, the solenoid screen mesh was filled with metal shavings (motor recently rebuilt). cleaned it out now an VTEC POPS now.

We only hate on the members who use a e-thug vocabulary to describe everything. Thats just the way we are.
Glad you found your problem with the motor though. If it's filled with that much metal shavings I hope it doesn't have a early end to it's life though.
