Default P06 vtec problem

Hi!
I have P06 ecu converted to vtec and with RTP and datalog installed. the engine is f20b dohc.

i used p30 bin file in which i turn off "disable vtec pressure check" and "disable vtec solenoid check" otherwise i get corresponding check engine codes.

datalog showed that vtec turned on but actualy +12 voltage on vtec solenoid pin did not occur. moreover when rpm falls vtec stays turned on until you turn off and then on ignition. i checked out line and get that there is no vtec signal comes to vtec switch (i used ir6220), so ecu did not try to turn on vtec.

I used to have the issue with Crome maps. After i switched to using the Gold map I have not encountered that issue. Crome is a buggy program. If i were you I would purchase a Neptune license since your tuning yourself.

Try using a stock p28 binary file to test the ecu.

If you don't have a vtec pressure switch, perform a bypass via wiring:
