Re: Play in axle to half-shaft (video included)
That looks like the wrong driveshaft, or it's not seated fully. I think the tripod housing ought to be sitting a lot closer to the center bearing than that.
Did you hear a nice, loud "CLINK" when the shaft seated?

Yes it did click. I always take the half-shaft out with the axle and install the new axle with it out of the car. I can't push it in any further, but I know it can't come out on its own because of the axle nut.
I guess tomorrow I'll pull the axle and see if I can fix it. Thanks for the input

Just replaced with an Advance axle, same gap problem, could the half-shaft have gone bad, bearings and such?
There is no vibration under acceleration/downshifting, no noise when turning

Re: Play in axle to half-shaft (video included)
I have a 98 gsr transmission so I have a 94-2001 half shaft for the b series and going by this: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/b-series-halfshaft-question-2932157/ post 11.
Its a 97 b20b so no it isn't OE to the car, 94 civic ex. I posted in the integra forum because its a b series swap.
