Default B-series halfshaft question

in the middle of a swap, when i installed the halfshaft into the trasmission, the bracket where it mounts up to the engine block doesn't sit flush with the block. it's a b16a3, the 2 holes on the bottom line up but the one on top is about 2 inches out.

I was wondering if i have the right halfshaft or is there different ones for b-series? i heard something about the 90-93 integra and would like to know which i would need. Thanks

you might have an automatic transmission half-shaft. the fitment is about 1.5 inches out and can cause a whole world of issues if used (angle of shaft being off)

+1, you need to get a 5 spd b series intermediate shaft.

does it matter if it's from a DA or a DC?

Yes, you can use either, but you have to use the driver's side axle and axle seal with whichever one you go with.

Why? When the right parts are easily obtained and cheap.....

Because most any problem can be solved with a big enough hammer and a welder. They are the universal adapters.

This is the best advise here...either can be used....just make sure the generations are matched, and that they are from a 5 speed model

No, the picture shows the difference between a '94 - '01 Integra/'94 - '97 Del Sol Vtec/'99 - '00 Civic/'92 - '00 JDM/EDM Civic with B-series (top) and '90 - '93 Integra (bottom)

Any B series halfshaft should work I put a B20z2 into my 95 integra RS with my ls trans and the halfshaft bracket didnt sit flush on my block but with some help from a few friends I found the easiest way is to start with the bottom bolt and tighten it in and it will pull the top of the bracket in flush with the block so you can get the other 2 bolts in
