Lowest-Mileage 1990 CR-X You Can Buy Today

CR-X, CRX

You might have to go to Portugal to get it, but if you must have a low mile CR-X, this example with 17 miles is exactly what you seek.

For a car born in the 1990’s, 50,000 would seem very low. 18,000 miles would seem brand new. 3,000 miles is almost unheard of. So how about 11 miles? That’s the current state of this 1990 Honda Civic CR-X.

Found by our friends at Motor1, this CR-X is for sale in Portugal. Their article states; the car was purchased, then “driven from the Santomar Honda dealership in Lisbon to a private garage.” Thankfully, the car wasn’t neglected. It was placed on jackstands, suggesting the owner knew it would be in long term storage. Outside of that, it’s all original. Reportedly, down to the engine oil. While that part of the car may need a little refreshing, some small items were changed. Brake fluid is new, and it has a newer battery. Otherwise, it’s a museum piece ready for the Realtime Collection Hall.

If originality is important to you, then you’ll enjoy the car’s dealer-supplied carpet covers, original owners manual and delivery paperwork. It’s almost like you can take a step back in time, and order your 1990 CR-X brand new. All paint surfaces and even interior present as-new. Quite an outstanding feat, considering even carefully stored cars can show some kinds of deterioration, just from time alone.

This car in particular is named in a unique way. It’s a 1.6i-16. Think of it as the SiR, because that’s its name in Europe. It makes this quite a desirable spec, although it isn’t quite the ultimate configuration of CR-X. Still, with the rapid rise of collector Honda prices, we expect to know the sale price of this car sooner than later. We say that, because the asking price isn’t listed.

The real problem is, what do you do with a car like this? You can’t drive it, because then you would take away its most significant feature. And if you store it, well, it’s just something to look at. But a pretty cool thing to look at nonetheless.
